Tanka – Le Lumachine

she gazes
into the distance
across the sea
she remembers the babies
who never came home

lo guardo fisso
in lontananza
attraverso il mare
ricorda i bambini
che non sono mai tornati a casa

in the deepening shadows
of the woods
the edge of the wind cuts deep –
these wounds that never heal

ferite mai guarite…
da qualche parte
nelle crescenti ombre
dei boschi
la lama tagliente del vento
